PRESS RELEASE | Juan Pablo Toro concludes his term as Executive Director of AthenaLab and assumes the role of Senior Fellow

AthenaLab informs that Juan Pablo Toro has stepped down from his position as executive director in our organization.

On behalf of the board and team at AthenaLab, we extend our sincerest and warmest gratitude for the work, commitment, and leadership that Juan Pablo has provided since the foundation of the organization to this day. His contribution was fundamental in the creation, consolidation, and positioning of the center as a space for analysis, reflection, and knowledge production in matters of security, defense, and international relations, connected to the world and respected by many.

We deeply value his dedication and the legacy he leaves us. Moving forward, he will remain connected to AthenaLab in the position of senior research fellow, contributing his experience and knowledge to the future development of the institution.

We wish him the greatest success in his upcoming professional challenges.

The position of executive director will be temporarily filled by John Griffiths, the current director of studies at AthenaLab.
