A delegation from AthenaLab conducted a working visit to Port Stanley, where they met with the civil and military authorities of the South Atlantic islands.

During meetings with Deputy Governor Dave Morgan, Commander of British Forces Brigadier Dan Duff, and local parliamentarians Roger Spink and Gavin Short, discussions focused on current affairs and future development projects for the Falkland/Malvinas Islands.

The delegation, consisting of AthenaLab’s Board President Nicolás Ibañez Scott, Executive Director Juan Pablo Toro, and Senior Researcher Marcelo Masalleras, also presented the institution’s work and its perspective on the geopolitics of the southern region, where the islands play a very important role.

Additionally, meetings were held with civil society, including organizations dedicated to environmental protection.
