WEEK | AthenaLab strengthens academic ties and incorporates new perspectives for the development of strategic capabilities

AthenaLab continues to expand its collaboration networks through exchanges with the academic world, participation in discussions on international security, and dialogue with recognized experts.

This week, we welcomed a delegation of students and alumni from the Institute of International Studies at the University of Chile to our offices. During the meeting, we presented the purpose of AthenaLab, our main research areas, and various forms of collaboration, including the development of joint publications and participation in future academic activities.

In the realm of dissemination and strategic analysis, our Executive Vice President, Richard Kouyoumdjian, participated as a speaker at a conference organized by Chile Club. His presentation addressed the strategic competition between China and the United States, the role of Taiwan in regional balance, and the evolution of the United States National Security Strategy.

Additionally, the AthenaLab team held a working meeting with Andrew Curtis, a researcher specializing in defense and national security and author of the book Understanding UK Military Capability: From Strategy to Decision (Bristol University Press). The conversation focused on the project regarding strategic capabilities currently being developed by AthenaLab and allowed for the incorporation of the specialist’s insights and experience into the ongoing work.
