Preliminary Conclusions 40 Days into the Russia-Ukraine War

More than six weeks have passed since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Much has been said, and much more remains to be written about this conflict. Images, data, maps, and opinions abound, making it difficult to separate the important from the trivial, the certain from the uncertain.

However, assuming the risk that reality may ultimately tell a different story, it is deemed relevant to extract some preliminary experiences from what has been observed and read, especially considering that this is, so far, a conventional war. This is important because there are judgment elements based on what has been seen in the war in Ukraine that could contribute to future discussions about the experiences that the most significant current European conflict will leave us, particularly for countries the size of Chile.
